While asleep, the user will automatically select a random move from its moveset, excluding itself or specific unselectable moves. This action occurs only during sleep, failing otherwise or if no other moves are known. Komala with the Comatose ability can use Sleep Talk without being asleep. In Double and Triple Battles, Sleep Talk targets the opponent directly across if it usually affects only one Pokémon. However, Sleep Talk can pick moves blocked by various effects, including Disable, Gravity, Heal Block, Imprison, Taunt, Throat Chop, Torment, Cursed Body, or an Assault Vest. Normal move priority applies to Sleep Talk, potentially leading to different execution orders than usual moves in the sequence. For example, it might activate Quick Attack after a regular move or Vital Throw before it.
