Move Details
Volt Switch deals damage and immediately switches out the user, but it won't switch out if the user is the sole Pokémon in the party, if it fails to hit the target, if the opponent isn't affected, or if Volt Switch triggers Wimp Out or Emergency Exit. It also won't switch out if it ends the battle, and if it faints a Trainer's Pokémon, the next one sent out won't count for additional experience. If used on the same turn as Pursuit by a foe, Pursuit deals double damage if the foe is slower than the user.
